  • Another Bad Day!!!

What a day after a bad start to the day not being ableto retrieve a customers order off my website, wich after an hour fignting with my computer the customers card was declined!!!

And to top all that just after i was a bout to close the shop i got a phone call to say that my youngest son had been whacked on the head with a metal golf club while at a friends and an ambulance had been called. Well PANIC!!!!! He was only 5 mins fast walk away as was in the ambulance when i gt there. He was covered in blood which was quite frightening but the paramedic said it was superficial. didnt look very superficial though. 2 hours later we were out of casualty with his head superglued together and a big headache. Luckily he is ok and luckily a friend was in the shop when i got the phonecall and locked the shop up for me.

Just feels like the whole world is against us at the moment.

    A very releived Heather

I know only too well how scary it is when your children get a knock to the head. It happened to my son but he wasn't as lucky as yours and had a long recovery.

He may feel sick tomorrow but dont panic....keep smiling and things will get better.

              And sympathy to your son.

Ow sorry to hear that. I know what it is like to panic. My son was at a karate class I think was about 7 or 8 at the time. Got a phone call from my husband to say he had had an accident and was on his way to hospital. Turned out a 4 foot high speaker was placed next to the punch bag that the club used - the punch bag knocked over the speaker and it landed on Conner's toe - his toe pretty much exploded is the best way to describe it the skin had burst and there was no way that the hospital could stick it. Just stopped the blood and bandaged him up. He had to stay off his feet for a while or it would bleed again. His toe was broken in 2 places.

When any injury (particularly involving blood) happens to your kids your mind goes blank and fear takes over.

Hopefully he wont have too much of a lump and too much of a headache today. Big cuddles from mums always work wonders (as does lots of chocolate too)!!

Thanks for your kind words everyone, Conners head is a sore this morning and he didnt sleep much, hes got quite a big bump.

The chocolate thing sounds like a good idea, a truck load would be good at the moment.
Conner is coming to work with me today to show his war wound off.

I wonder how the kid is that hit him he was only 6!! He was taking a swing at a golf ball ( what kids are doing with real golf clubs i dont know) as conner rode past on a bike, apparantly he rode ran off screaming poor kid.

Well another day, hopefully a better one!

Well Conner (with an E) must be an unlucky name. Don't know many people with the name spelled this way and look what happens to the two of them!!!

                        Hi,

Hope all is well today. All going to be part of your sons tales to tell when he is older. We've all got those close shaves from when we were kids, when we look back and think, gosh that was lucky!!

Now Conner has one for himself!!

Glad he is ok. Hope you have a great weekend and a fantastic week next week!

                          Oooo, nasty!

Hope things are much better today for you all. I'm sure the headache and the bump will soon clear up; kids are very resilient and tend to recover pretty quickly.

This is the third one for conner. He broke his elbow when he fell off a rope swing and had to have it pinned, and he kicked a glass over a couple of years ago and sliced a very deep cut in the crease under your toes, that took ages to heal as every time he took a step it opened it back up.

Had an ok day tody apart from the distict lack of customers, got a really nice fancy folded cardmade though.

I am telling you Conner with an E is an unlucky name, my Conner has broke his toe, ankle, foot and just about every other bone in his body. It is either Conner is an unlucky name or he is just a big clumsy git!!! I am plumping for the later!!
