  • Kcals vs fat

    Typical woman thread.

    Discovered last night that a packet of snack a jacks have more calories than a packet of hula hoops.
    Needless to say I put aside the rice/corn snacks a devoured the packet of hula hoops.

    Are we meant to be looking at calorie or fat content?

    Being the weight watchers guru that I am you need to look at both the calories and the fat. If something is 150 calories and has 0.5g of saturated fat it is far better than something that has 150 calories and 15g of saturated fat. Just cause it's low cal doesn't mean it's low fat - always look at calories and saturated fats.

      I had an idea that fat content had sommit to do with it but Ive always been bought up on kcals.
      My friend said about things being best if they are less than 5g fat.She lost 2 stone!!Lucky so and so.

        Yep less than 5g of fat is classed as low fat. But if you are figuring out what is best always look at the saturated fat. If there is no saturated fat on the label roughly half the fat!

          Yep, it does indeed.
          I was quite happy yesterday to realise ost fo my food was non processed.I had a prawn layer form M&S which is basically fish n veg, then a roas later in the day(il ignore the crisps and chocolate I also had).
