I went to Meganisi for a week, it's a small island off the west coast of Greece, still very unspoilt and beautiful, although they are starting to build a few more villas. I first went there in 1987 at the age of 9, and haven't found anywhere better since. My parents have been every year for the past 22 years, I went pretty much each year from about 9 up to 19, then I last went in 2007, then again this year.

We (me & OH) would love to move out there, but unfortunately there isn't a great deal of work outside the (fairly quiet) tourist season, and my Greek is barely passable, not nearly fluent enough to find a job!!

I hear the weather here has been pretty good too
