According to the department of health cats cant get it! My flatmate aparently had it last week, but we dont think she did. She was one of the first people to ring that helpline, and the woman on the other end of the phone told us there nearest place to pick up tamiflu was nearly 100 miles away! She also told us that Ormskirk was not a place, and asked if me and my flatmate live in the same country. By this point I was a bit annoyed and said no I live in America, im flying over now to go and pick the stuff up for her! grrrrrr.

Hope you feel better soon xx
I like to make things - usually a mess!
Please look at my stuff and let me know what you think!

the whole h1n1 thing is a mess and the department of health keep sending out mixed messages which doesn't help. and now they want the bbc screening lessons if schools shut due to it - well if half the pupils are ill they aren't going to want to do any work!

I hope you feel better soon BV. A few people I know have it now, luckily they live away so I haven't been actually in touch with it myself. I've only had flu a couple of times and that was awful enough.. Hope you have a quick recovery

Take care of yourself and hope you feel better soon!

It has hit my office. Well the woman who has it swears she just has a cold but the person diagnosing her over the phone though otherwise. Very sensibly her desk has been 'isolated' ie, a few shelving units placed around it. No-one actually needs to go near her desk anyway, but nothing has been done about cleaning the kitchen she used, or the doorknobs, post desk, toilets etc that we all share! I'm sure the shelving units around the desk will protect us though!

Sore throat sounds familiar Terri, tight chest, tiredness, and other general flu symptoms. No wonder it is pandemic when you hear things like that. We have family down with it but, touch wood, so far it has bypassed us. I don't know if that is good or bad cos they say that it will get worse in the winter.

Oh I sleep so much its hard to say if I'm abnormally tired or not! been finding it hard to get up the past week or so, but this is nothing new, bit headachey but its *whispers; the time of the month* no other symptoms as of yet!
I'm so glad I only work 2 days/week i'm certain if I were there more i'd get it at some point!! Its horrid how dirty people are, putting money in their mouths before handing it you and licking their fingers before getting a bag and stuff! really grinds my gears!

my daughter has it and its very nasty, the main thing is the sudden high temp, over 38 deg and a fever that is pretty bad, she is still poorly over a week on

Poor you. I hope you feel better soon. My father-in-law has just come down with it too.

Get well soon and enjoy snuggling with your cats. Mine tend to ignore me when I am ill.
