  • Packing my suitcase

I am going to pack my suitcase for my holidays, bit too organised for me lol but I'm busy busy from now until we go!!!

I've got to travel light so I can't take things like sun cream and shampoo because I'll be able to buy it when I get there, unfortunately it means I have cut down on clothes and even worse...shoes!!!
    • I have some strong sandals for walking in, some comfy pumps, flip-flops and some heels just incase.
    • t-shirts
    • vest tops
    • shorts
    • skirts
    • dresses
    • underwear/socks
    • bikinis
    • jeans??
    • a couple of jackets
    • Wash bag
    • Towel
    • toothbrush
    • hairbrush
    • Camera/batteries/charger
    • plug convertors
    • Straighteners
    • Passport! Most important!
I need to go buy some sunglasses, memory card and pjs, what else do you suggest I take because between me and my sister we'd forget our heads if they weren't screwed on!!

Ooh just remembered a wash bag!! See I've already forgotten stuff!

      A toothbrush and hairbrush!

Great to see you are looking forward to it. The time will fly and you will soon be off!

I've got family in Colorado in America so we will spend a week or so there, and then we are going to do a road trip through Utah, Arizona, Nevada, California and then back to Colorado again so we are going to be in America for a month!!

I would say try and take clothes that will not crease easily and that will dry quickly. Co-ordinating colours will be best so you can make up an outfit from whatever is clean. I'm thinking of blues, greens, purple and pink or pastel spring colours. If you take thinner tops you can easily wear them together if it's cold and separately if it's hot rather than taking a big jumper that you may not wear.
Your trip sounds exciting, I wish I could go too.

Ooh yeah thank you for that Melanie, I had a few pairs of linen shorts in mind but unless there is an iron in some of the hotels I can't really wear them with loads of creases in them!!
I will be washing my clothes in the sink if they get dirty!

Yeh sure!! If I pack you next to the towel you should be nice and comfy?!! Anyone else? I've got space down the side of my wash bag...any takers?

If it comes to it I could possibly fit you in my hand luggage

Personally I'd ditch the jeans Louise, it will be pretty hot where you're going so unless you plan on wearing them for an evening maybe, I'd say they weigh too much to take. You could take an extra pair of shoes instead LOL, Selina

I'd always pack zip off trousers as they are great when the temperatures can change so much.

passport, money, camera and batteries/charger, spare memory card perhaps?

                        Very jealous!
