  • How do I get my code back?

    This is silly, I've changed my blog template and it's cancelled out my google analytics code, now I can't find it! Can anyone tell me how to find my code again after I've signed in to google so I can put it back on my blog, pleeeeze?

    yep.. for your blog it's...

    <script type='text/javascript'>
    var gaJsHost = (("https:" == document.location.protocol) ? "https://ssl." : "http://www.");
    document.write(unescape("%3Cscript src='" + gaJsHost + "google-analytics.com/ga.js' type='text/javascript'%3E%3C/script%3E"));
    </script>
    <script type='text/javascript'>
    try {
    var pageTracker = _gat._getTracker("UA-7136629-2");
    pageTracker._trackPageview();
    } catch(err) {}</script>

        You need to copy that code... open your main template and paste it right before the closing body tag... which looks like this </body> then save.

          I'm sorry but I can't seem to make this work? I didn't have any problems the first time I did it, so I must be doing something wrong?

            Well it should be something like this...

            Sign into blogger it should say:
            Edit Posts – Settings – Template – View Blog

            click on template.

            scroll right to the very bottom of the code window where it says something like...

            <!-- End wrapper or footer -->

            </body>
            </html>

            <!-- End wraps -->
            Then paste your analytics code right here and click 'save template changes'
            </body>
            </html>

            I could do it for you but you'd have to PM me your log-in/password details. Up to you

            Regards
            James.
