  • Wii Fit anyone?

We've recently accidentally bought a Wii and I'm thinking about getting the Wii Fit - does anyone have it, is it any good, does it actually help you get fit [if you use it that it, rather than let it collect dust!]. Need to get fit, but dont want to spend £70 on it and then discover it isnt any good for getting fit!

    Thanks!

Sounds a bit like the exercise bike I bought which was used once or twice and now has clothes draped over it in the spare bedroom

My son has one and loves it - Wii fit that is

When i say accidentally bought one...we had been kinda wanting one for a while, and then i found one for sale at work cheap, with a bundle of games, so i told my bf and we accidentally bought it...well, i won really, as he paid for most of it, lol. Only prob is we are now in the process of buying a plasma for the lounge [he broke the crt that used to be there n 22 inch tv/monitor in bedroom just doesnt work with the Wii i'm afriad!]...whoops. but no, sorry, no accidentally buying Wii for any of you people, lovely tho you are!

greannancrafts - your excercise bike = our rowing machine! It sits in the bedroom w clothes on it and its occassionally kicked then sworn at, lol. Maybe i should sell it to fund the Wii fit.... rowing machine/clothes horse anyone?!

LOL - I'd say yes, but my DD would never forgive me - not that she's using it either though!!!

                    It's on my "to-do" list

I wonder if more exercise equipment is used as makeshift clothes hangers than for their real purpose....I have to confess my exercise bike is in the spare room covered in clothes too

My friend stunned and amazed me by announcing they had a 42" telly in the bedroom - just for the Wii!! the much smaller TV that was in there is now in the Living Room.. I thought it was a bit excessive, but she claims her and the B/f both use the Wii Fit every day... (her more than him)..

Whether it actually does any good is another matter.. but working on the basis that something is far better than nothing.. I would sell the rower and try a Wii fit!

PS if it is a nice rower.. I like rowing!

I have the wii fit and I love it, even if it does keep telling me off when I have a few days away from it. I love the yoga and find it really relaxing, but have no co-ordination for the boxing ,lol

The hubby and I both use it. He's a fitness fanatic and goes to the gym every day and even he is impressed by it. It's good fun and that's what makes it different. Like normal excercise you've got to use it regularly to get any benefit though.
