We have had about 3 inches, and lost of the schools are shut. Why do they never shut universities or other places?

Yep - we've had a good inch or two as well... all schools closed (much to the kids delight!).

We have had about 5 inches, very thick everywhere. No driving today so had to walk daughter the 1.5 miles to school (the only one open in the whole area). Took forever!

We have had snow for the past 4 days and its been like winter wonderland out there - all lovely and white and it does not look as if its about to go anywhere for a while yet.

We missed the worst of it this time, I live on the Cambs border and all the local schools there are shut (even though the Suffolk ones a few miles away are all open ) but as I drove into Clare the scenery changed from white to green and here all the snow has gone and it's just been raining all morning.
