where did all the time go
I'm wondering have you ever seen harry enfield as Kevin the teenager
where on his 13th birthday he transforms into a spotty miserable teenager do you think it happens in reverse when they hit 20 and he will be a wonderful young man who immediately loses his attitude lol

I was lucky with my oldest (he's 22 now), he was quite a placid, easy going young lad, but what I did notice was when he got his first more serious girlfriend he was even nicer! Rather than saying something like 'where's my trainers' he said 'do you know where my trainers are mum'...even just a little thing like that makes a difference doesn't it? Mind you we've got two more boys (16 and 13) and I'm crossing my fingers that they're going to be quieter and calmer, not so tetchy at least! Good luck with yours

my son was with a girl for nearly 2 years, they only split up a couple of months ago and me and hubby are still upset lol
but yes he was much nicer when he was with her and I felt like I'd got him back a bit as they used to spend some saturday nights in with us and when she came round we'd all sit at the table eating and having a chat
        I miss that
he's got a new girlfriend but we haven't seen much of her yet and he's been moodier since splitting up with the other girl

My baby is 7 tomorrow, he is placid and calm (but not very quiet) but of my two children he is probably the easiest (daughter of 10 going on 16!!!!)

Does that mean that when he reaches 20 he will be a nightmare????? hope not.

Happy Birthday to your baby from mine

God I remember the kevin years where the only word I could get out of my eldest was wallet or he would speak a different language that only other teenagers could understand. He is now nearly 23 and still throws his treddy in the corner every now and then. He and his girlfriend dropped the bombshell last night and yes you guessed it they think she is pregnant. I don't mind but it is just another thing to remind me I am getting old after all I did turn 40 last year LOL

my baby boy is 27 , although never a problem at home he did have a few(understatment) problems at school and when he was a bit older out with friends in our town. i was constantly worried, but now only a few years later he is a dad to two beautifull boys and working six/seven days a week to provide for them. i am very proud of him ,still want to get him to move to a wee scottish isle with us, to keep him away from bad people. i don`t think you ever stop worrying about them. thats your job

Ive been told on numerous occasions that parenting doesnt end when they become adults, my parents still worry about me and my sister, Im nearly 42 divorced with two children and my sister is 36 married with one and one on the way!!

I just hope my two do well and dont get in with the "bad" people, luckily they are still too young to go out on their own, but I am dreading that day!!!

BTW just baked a cake for my little boy's birthday (today) smells yummy, I want to eat it now!!!

cake now theres a sore subject lol
my son adores a cake that I make , its only plain with white icing but he chooses it every year rather than a shop bought one
so its now known as Aaron cake ( my sons name is Aaron lol ) everyone loves it and looks forward to me making it
anyway he has a new girlfriend who came for dinner last night , we decided to give him his cards and presents last night as we aren't seeing him today , he's gone to work and then straight to the pub !!
I asked her if she'd like some Aaron cake and she said no thank you !!!
no thank you !!! no one has ever turned down Aaron cake in my house before , not a good sign lol

Now there's a surprise!!!! well her loss, my cake has been eaten by all and enjoyed. Still some left for tomorrow and for my parents to get a bit aswell.

Sponge, fresh cream, jam, icing and sprinkles, all topped off with a number 7 candle!!!! (no wonder I'm not stick thin!!)
