  • Sooooo cold!!

Is it just me or does tonight seem about ten times colder than it has been in ages?

I'm sat here with the heating on full, my woolly cardigan on and am still frozen

I have a roaring log fire going, neighbour felled a 100 foot pine as it was damaging his drains and he gave it all to us chopped up for the princely sum of a bottle of the hard stuff. We are heating our house and water (backboiler) for free for the whole winter. I am soooo chuffed. Must be about 30c in my lounge right now, boys are in shorts and t shirts LOL

I was freezing today. I keep leaving the heating on constant by accident and waking up toasty warm. I am dreading the bill!
Because of this I daren't put it on during the day, and my house is old with really high ceilings, so it gets drafty. Brrrr

I've got the weather sidebar thing on my desktop and according to that it's -2 here which is too cold for me so I'm glad I'm not in Scotland, though I've just spoken to my cousin in Fort William and it's -4 there.

Dad went home today to East Kilbride (near Glasgow) to discover that he hadn't turned the heating down before he came to visit us at the weekend so the house was toasty warm lol, though I'm glad I don't pay his electricity lol.

It must be -something here now cos the heating is still on and my feet are cold. Of course it would probably help if I went and put a pair of socks on

Aah I have very fond memories of going through to EK when I was about 14/15. We used to go to a pub in The Village and there was always a great crowd in.
Haven't been there in a very long time.
