my daughter is training to be a hairdresser
a couple of weeks ago she coloured my hair and did a fantastic job
our friend normally cuts our hair but has hurt her back so cant' do it at the moment
I know this sounds completely stupid but I HATE going to the hairdressers don't ask me why !! but I plucked up the courage to go today
I am absloutely useless with hair so when she asked me how much I wanted off I had no idea as my friend just does it for me , because I was scared of it ending up too short I just asked her to tidy up a bit , anyway I hated what she'd done so asked my daughter if she could tidy up the back for me and she has done a brilliant job, she is going to cut it around my ears later and is a bit unsure of how I have it so our friend is coming for dinner anyway and is going to talk her through it
she also cut hubbys hair in the week and he is well happy with it
    I think I'm going to like having a daughter who's a hairdresser
she finishes her job in Woolworths on boxing day and I said although its early days she has learnt so much in the 3 months she's been at college , give it a few more months and I think she would be able to cut friends and family hair to earn a bit of money

Well done to your daughter. I'm another who hates going to the hairdressers and am always on the lookout for the 'perfect' one You're very lucky to have one in the family

That's brilliant & very useful to have a hairdresser in the family

          Well done to your daughter.

I'm yet another who hates going to hairdressers; hence I have hair almost down to my waist. I have been to a hairdressing establishment twice in the last 10 years!

Well done to your daughter, tell her to stick with it even when the going gets tough, and it will, I promise!!! She sounds as though she has the talent for it which few people have so with training and hard work it really can be the most rewarding of jobs. I have been hairdressing for 25 years and have had my own salon for 3 years now so its a shame those of you who prefer not to visit salons don't live nearer, its so much nicer with a coffee and a chat!! Lots of luck to your girly, Selina

My mother loved having me live at home when I was younger, especially when I became a qualified hairdresser & beautician!!
Lucky thing!! I wish my hubby was a hairdresser!
