Is anyone else a Top Gear fan?

I'm not particularly but share my home with 3 blokes so I've learned to enjoy it.

Anyway on Sunday's programme Jeremy Clarkson infomed the viewers that the previous weeks programme had promted over 500 complaints about them slagging off lorry drivers - can't post what they kept saying cos its fairly strong adult humour. So the presenters all promised that they would not do or say anything "politically incorrect" during this show. And they didn't . . . . . or did they?

When the Stig was doing his test drive instead of playing music on his stereo he was listening to morse code . . . . .

OH spotted on another forum a post from a morse code fanatic who reckons the translation was

    ... - .-. .. -.-. - .-.. -.-- / -.-. --- -- . / -.. .- -. -.-. .. -. --. / .. ... / -.-. .-. .- .--.

    "Strictly Come Dancing is c**p"

Not sure if its true regarding what he was listening to but that series of dots and dashes does translate as said.

I'll have to ask Jones, who usually watches Top Gear as the only TV in the house is situated in what used to be Child's bedroom (I don't have to watch anything).

ROFL - wouldn't surprise me in the least. I love the show and as the beeb quite rightly said, Clarkson is contraversial.....we all know it, so you know beforehand he's going to push it to the limit every time. If you don't like it, don't watch it........simple.

Love the show, adore Richard Hammond, especially with long hair!! Think you are correct about the morse code thing, am pretty sure I read it in the Scum. This weeks show was fab, Clarkson had the new version of my car and he loved it for a change!!! Selina

I have to admit I love that show and it wouldn't surprise me at all. They always find a way round things and definitely push the boundaries. My favourite TG programmes have been the one where they set the caravan alight and the oone in America where they were trying to get run out of town. Hilarious!

We all love Top Gear here, even my 14 yr old daughter, it's the presenters, they're so good & work so well together and misbehave terribly. I loved them in the States this week trying to be "factual".

So funny about the Morse Code too - can believe it

I've got a houseful of lads too so Top Gear is must have...however, I thought what he said about the lorry drivers and the number of times he said it was too much. I thought 'oho, he's going to get into trouble', especially so soon after the Russell Brand/Jonathon Ross fiasco. LOve the daft things they get up to but honestly thought he went a bit ott the number of times he said what he said. Ps, one of our friends reckons our welsh terrier looks the spitting image of Clarkson...long face, curly hair...the similarity is uncanny!! Hammond is a little cutey, bless him

Sorry to disappoint you but I have a dark purple Corvette, normally Clarkson hates anything American but just for once he actually admitted that he loved it!!! Orange sounds like a cool colour whatever the car! Selina

Fantastic!. I love that show, not that I watch it for the cars but I too just love it for Jezzer, Hammond and Captain Slow who I think are hilarious, especially when they do their stupid races like on Sunday.

Me too, I share my home with hubby and son. I can watch (and enjoy) TG once but my guys will watch any episode as many times as they are shown

Jeremy's comments were very off colour and I was shocked but not offended (perhaps cos I am not a lorry driver) but I think it was far different from harrassing an elderly man as per JR and RB. TG went a step too far perhaps but who don't they have a go at?
