  • They are remaking...

.....Rocky Horror.Just heard it on the radio.
    Im wondering why.
Shock Treatment was a great sequel to it and i can recall in 1990 reading that Richard O brien was writing another sequel, so why remake RH??

Anyhoo, suggestions for the cast please.

Johnny Depp as Frank n Furter.

God only knows who could play Franknfurter - Tim Curry has to be the best ever - he will be a hard act to follow!!!

      Cheers.

Tim Curry was the supreme Frank n Furter, definitely!

But maybe that gorgeous aussie dude (the Wolverine fella) could have a good go at it if his stage show of that other dude is anything to go by...sorry, having a blank name memory moment, can you tell?!

His name is Hugh Jackman. But does it matter what he's called with a face and body like that. I always think that he could be Clint Eastwood's son cos he reminds me of Clint in his Dirty Harry days.

          Back on track - how about . . . .

          Pierce Brosnan as Franknfurter

Carlista Flockheart (Ally McBeal) as Janet

          Brad Pitt as Brad Myers

Bruce Willis as Riffraff (originally Richard O'Brien)

          and Jack Black as Eddie(Meatloaf).

Would love to see how that pans out! Don't think you could beat Tim Curry's Franknfurter, but love the suggestion of Jack Black as Eddie and Daniel Craig as Rocky!

I went to see the stage show in London in the late 70's with the origional cast. I had no idea what it was about but it looked the most interesting show on the list at the hotel. It was amazing.

Oh no thats such a shame, the reason i love rocky horror is becasue it is so odd and surreal and so horrendously cheesey! You could never recreate that nowadays.
Ive never understood why they always insist on doing remakes of amazing classic films!
The next generation (even my generation) will never appreciate the AMAZINGNESS of such fillms if theyre constantly being modernised.

One of my all time favourite films (plus Sleepy Hollow hehehe!)

And yes, certainly Jack Black as Eddie - very inspired (did you see him in Rock School?? Fantastic film!!)

I have actually been known to clear dancefloors at various functions by doing the Time Warp....... hehehehee

David Tennant could totally pull off Frank N Furter and that would give me another reason to drool over him! No one though could match Tim Curry as he was fabulous. We went to watch the stage show when I was at uni and I went as Magenta and my friend went as Columbia - we raided the charity shops of Canterbury for costumes! We saw it when Jason Donovan was in it and despite our reservations he was fabulous - it was when his drugs past was coming up and he incorporated it into the show very cleverly. I also dance to the time warp at parties etc

Did you see though that Richard O'Brien is not happy about it?

Really!I thought he would be the head person youd need the go ahead from. They shouldnt remake it if they dont have his permission.

SAying that i just saw Sacha Baron Coen in Sweeney Todd and I reckon he'd make a fab frank n furter.

Forgot to say when I saw RH in London I saw iit with Richard O brien substituting the actor that was going to play frank!
