        Really enjoyed that one Jayne.

And no, I didn't get it but I did try for about 3 mins before looking at the answer. Was gutted to find out it wasn't the double letter thing cos I thought I'd got it.

Talking about Scrabble. . . . before I got married, in my single parent days, and before I got into jewellery making, most of my friends were also single parents and none of us ever had any spare cash to spend on going out so we used to have a scrabble night every monday at my house. Four of us used to play well into the early hours and the fun we had . . . .

        memories . . . .

In all of the words listed, if you take the first letter, place it at the end of the word, and then spell the word backwards, it will be the same word, so....

Take the 'b' off the front of banana,
Put it at the end of the word ananab
Then read it backwards & it spells banana!
You can do the same with all of the words

I almost got it, I realised that if you took away the first letter that the letters reversed when you got to the middle of the word. ie B an-a-na, D res-ser, G ram-mer but I didn't think to swap the first letter and read it backwards.
