Oh I wish - I've always wanted a VW camper.

I'm originally from Cornwall and they are quite hip down there, especially with the 'surfer' type.

My uncle had one, it was bright purple and cream.

May be one day I can have one - when I make my first million (yeah right!!)
      Take care

oh Beetles are cool! Id love one of those too. But if i was buying a camper, it would need to be a split screen or nothing.

i used to have a 1975 VW minibus that had been converted into a camper van and she was fantastic to drive being a short person i had to stand up to get the clutch pedal down far enough to change gear OH and spent many great weekend travelling to VW festivals in the late 80's and early 90's (we had a few beetles as well) and now that i have to hock my stuff around the country side i wish i had kept her have been on the lookout for anohter one but think they are a bit pricey
                        while i knit i think

Think it was 1962. It also has barn doors on the side, not the sliding ones. All the chrome wheel trims and bumpers are original and are still nice and shiney. Looks well against his yellow 1973 Marlin Roadster.

DD had her 3 year old one stolen too last week. Seems to be an epidemic. We were told it was stolen to order. She's not a crafter by the way, just thought you might like to know.

Don't own one, although I'd love to. There is newly restored one a few doors down from us, it is beautiful.

Did paint this one for JBJB's campervan craft swap though.
