  • Exporting crafts - insurance?

Hi, I am currently selling my handmade personalised books online to the EU. I have insurance with direct line that also provides product liability insurance. However, I am starting to get enquires from the US. I have contacted direct line who say they don't provide home business insurance that covers exports. Does anyone else export their crafts? Which insurance do you have? Thanks xxx

I'm with Marketline but I confess I have not read the small print.
I know you can't get a parcel insured or tracked or guarunteed if you use the Post Office to send parcels abroad - which is very annoying.

Thanks, was thinking more of product liability insurance if someone is injured by your products. I make toys so even more important for me I guess and with the litigation culture in the US am reluctnat to export without cover. Any help much appreciated xxx

Marketline's for both product and public liability.
Market traders must be a dangerous lot but I'm very good I only injure my self - a lot.

There have been loads of threads on insurance on this forum. Have you tried searching for them?
You end up with a long list of insurers and quotes that vary wildly.
