  • Filling out the insurance form - I know another question on the subject!

    Right,

I printed off the application form this morning to get some insurance as I am starting to do a few bigger fairs now.

On the form there is a space to put the company registration number. Is this something you get once you register your business? I havent got as far as that yet - im still testing the water as my business link advisor told me.

Will this prevent me from getting the insurance?

    Help....confused

You'll only have a company registration number if you're a limited company I believe - just put N/A in the space. It won't stop you from getting the insurance as many companies (including my own) are not limited

NattyNetty is correct, you only have a company reg no if you are a Ltd company. I am not one - so ins isn't a problem

        I second all that.
If there is just you doing your thing you are officially a 'sole trader'.

When I say just you, you can pay people to help you - but when you do all that adding at the end of the year - don't share your profits with anyone. Keep them all for yourself.
