  • What's the best FREE website to use for selling crafts

    Hi everyone

I am trying to find a decent, FREE (initially), website that I can create myself and get up and running asap. Past experience (vista) has robbed me blind as I was only able to upload 6 images - useless! I need to open an online shop (paypal is fine) and have unlimited space for images......can you help or recommend one?

What do I need to know about adwords and search engines too.
Would love to hear from anyone who is more experienced in this field
Thanks for your help in advance

I'm no expert but I've found Weebly to be excellent for my needs. Unlimited pics, Paypal and fairly easy to use for dummies like me - and free!

I have used google sites. The domain name is free as is the hosting and you can integrate paypal easily. If you have used vista before you will get the hang of it quite quickly. The other bonus is that you get listed on the google search engine really fast compared to other hosts as it is run by google. You also get some free adwords advertising and their help forum is really good. I have used vista and 1and1 previously and bought the domain name then paid £7 a month or whatever it costs. I won't ever do this again as have been so impressed with the google sites. Also integrated easily with analytics etc so you can monitor your traffic. Search for getting british business online.

Have a look here as well. The bodrighywood website in my signature was done with this as an example

One way to get your website further up the pages is to ask everyone you know to search for you using google search engine and then hit your website. So ask friends, family, work colleagues (anyone who looks approachable really :-).
