Does pay day boost your sales???

I just wondered if anyone found they make more sales at a certain time of the month - i.e. after pay day / during the first few weeks after pay day (once people have paid their bills and know what they have left to spend for the month) ???

I had a sales spurt on Ebay last month and my boyfriend pointed out that this was the week after people got paid, so maybe that has something to do with it? Can you tell I am hoping this theory is true...last day of the month and all!!!!???

Haven't even thought about it. Suppose once all my bills are paid if I need anything I will buy it then so probably yes!!

I can't really comment as i've only had a few orders which have been very random. I hope it's true though as i've only had one order all month

I know once my credit card bill reaches a certain amount i try and hold out til just after pay day to buy anything else.So yep, id say it was connected.

I hope this is true for me then...I have got quite a lot of watchers on my Ebay shop and I wonder if maybe they are waiting to buy once they have their months wages. Fingers crossed the theory is true. Although I do tend to jinx myself when I post things like this so maybe it wasn't such a good idea!!!

You are right.

I find that I get a steady flow of orders each day but..at the end of the month there is usually an increase so I agree with you people do buy more when they have been paid. I know I did when I was in my old job!!

Just realised this, just listed a pram and looked at the fees which came to alot more than 5p. Sneaky ebay, gutted now, I wanted to list all my paintings but not for 99p.

I haven't done that as yet...I usually add new things as I make them. But as it happens, have made 2 new things this week and put them in my Ebay shop, so it had worked out that way this month!

I dont know about people buying more but it certainly increases my spending after payday
