hi guys, i wondered if any of you would like a website where you do not pay anything for listing your crafts and only pay comission when the sale has been completed?

I am talking higher comssion than folksy or Etsy eg 10%-20% - the difference is that there is no cost to you unless you sell?

    many thanks
    A

    hey Hun

    I have just launched handcraftedby.co.uk

Similar idea but I will list, store and post all your items out from just 20p per item that sells. The only catch is you have to be able to get them to me first!

I currently have 5 designers/Crafters in progress including myself Only 1 month old and getting seen all over the place

    See what you think

Kowalsan - in principle, it sounds like a good idea. I'd need to see the website, have an idea of promotion, etc., because although not committing money upfront, I would be committing precious time! No problems with a precentage of sales though.

Handmadebyme - do you have a link? If you've not made the required number of posts yet, it can go in your signature. I tried googling your username but just came up with a wedding website (it went straight to it).

Kowalsan, it would have to be pretty impressive for anyone to want to pay that high a commission - etsy charges 3.5% (on completed sales) plus the 20c listing fee, and has huge exposure. That 20c is so little as to be almost irrelevant tbh.

To be fair, if I'm not paying any other charges, 10% is something I'd be happy with. Etsy does have huge exposure but also a huge number of sellers. Having said that, I'd want to see that any site I'm selling on is making efforts to promote itself. Not much point otherwise.

I pay more than 10% of sales at a lot of craft fair events when table costs, parking fees and petrol are added up. As well as getting up early and spending all day there.

            Hi Ladies,

the new site is at www(.) handcraftedby.co.uk

            Just take out the space

We only charge 20p for up to a £3 sale and then it goes up a little from there. You wont ever pay more that £1 for any single sale. We have the storage space to store, list and post all your creations out. All you have to do is send them to us on a sale or return basis and you can recall your cards at any time!

Hope to see you on there soon
