  • Does anyone use Facebook Ads?

I was just on facebook when I noticed an advert along the right hand side of the page advertising a hand made jewellery website, which I could click on and be directed straight to the site.

Sorry if this is old news but I have only just noticed!!!

I just wondered if anyone advertises using these facebook ads and if they are sucessful at all?

    Thanks in advance!

      Hi

I don't use Facebook to advertise, but I did hear on the radio that Dell computers are now advertising on facebook and how newspapers and mags are losing out on adverts because of this.

I have created an advert but am now at the stage of selecting whether I want to pay per click or per impression (by how many times it's shown. I think paying per click would be best? I'm also a bit confused about how much it costs as you can put in your own prices??? Anyone who's done facebook ads or perhaps other ads such as google able to give me any advice?

If you join the visa business network (it's free) on facebook you get $100 coupon for facebook ads!
I am using it - I set the lifespan of my ad for 10 days with a daily spent limit of $10 so I know none will go on my credit card then I can see what clicks it has brought in and determine whether I want to pay for an ad.

This is very useful - thank you! Can I ask you what difference it makes when entering the amount you are willing to pay per click? It has a recommended amount on it but says you can pay a min of $0.01???

Right, I think I've figured it all out! Have placed my ad for 20 days, max cost of $5.00 per day (which is determined by how many clicks I get) so that will cover my free $100 should I get enough clicks each day. It starts at 00:00hrs tomorrow so let's see how it goes....

I'm totally confused with this, I guess it would make more sense if I read the actual FB blurb, however, will it cost you less or nothing at all the more clicks you get? If that's the case then let us know so we can all get clicking!

Are you going to Cosford on Sunday BTW?

I get charged per click I think? So in which case please don't click - use my website links below instead!!! Hehe!

Is there a craft fair at Cosford? If so can you give me details? I might pop along if I can!

Oh in that case I won't click - don't want you to end up paying out! Good job I checked & didn't just go merrily clicking away thinking I was helping you!!

Yes Spring Fayre at Cosford on Sunday 10-4, I'll have a stall so will Autumn Rose and I think Phoebe (who makes the gorgeous Fairy Doors) has one too, but not sure on that. Be lovely to see you again if you can make it.

Don't know about the facebook ads but google adwords definitely are charged per click through the advert, I've got a friend who swears by it so it'll be interesting to see how you get on. Please keep me posted!

There is a section where I can view how many clicks I've had etc so will be interesting to see how much interest I get over the next 20 days - will def keep you all posted!

I'll try and get to Cosford - is it under cover or on the airfield? Is there an entrance fee?
