Hi im not sure if I have put this in the right place but I was wondering if anyone has got this software?
I really need to get more organised!

its American and know that a lot of crafters over there swear by it but is it compatible with the £?

    Thanks

Just had a quick look at it and I think it seems like a bit of an expense for something you can do quite easily yourself.

A simple spread sheet will do all the costings etc and you can print your own brochures on most pc's without the use of expensive software.

I've got it, and have been teased on here for not setting up my own excel spreadsheet for a quarter of the cost. I love it I have to say, it's a database rather than a spreadsheet, it uses Access as its backend rather than Excel. It does work in $ rather than £ (unless you get the top of the range version which works in multiple currencies, I just have the basic one) but I just input the £ value and read it that way. It's idiot proof and saves you all the set up of creating a document yourself. You can add pics of each item, it can create catalogues for you, it keeps a stock check and you can tell it the mark up you want to put on each item and works it out.

Would you say it is a worth while bit of software for saving time and enhancing profits through correct pricing?

It certainly saves time, because you don't have to set anything up. You do need to input your materials, but I do it as I buy them. It works out a per item price for you. Then when you have made a piece of jewellery you just select all the parts that went into making it and it calculates your materials cost, there's a box for you to fill in your labour costs and another for any other costs on top of that. Then it has 3 different sections for marking up your prices for selling. You input the amount you want to mark up by and it calculates it. So far I only use 2 of the 3 one for friends and family and one for selling to the public. I think they are intended to be for wholesale, direct selling and retail, but you can use them however you want. It also keeps a database of all your suppliers and your customers. You can use it to make a catalogue or print various reports which it collates for you, it also prints labels, invoices/receipts, sales reports, stock inventories etc you name it.

It is annoying that it is in $ not £ but I would say that's its only downside. I have made a small profit on every item I've sold and it's completely idiot proof which is perfect for me because I'm always doing 10 things at once.

                  I hope that helps.
