  • Mary's back

Loved Mary Queen of shops when I watched one episode last year and started to watch the new series last night.

    Anybody else watch it?

The shop last night was in Ascot which is just downt the road from me.I was thinking of contacting the shop owner and seeing if she would buy some pieces from me.Whadyathink?

I love Mary! One day I made over 100 pounds on old stock using her idea of knocking off a tiny bit and saying they were on sale. It was crazy the amount of stuff people were buying because it was 50p cheaper! She sure knows her stuff.

I've never seen it before but what harm would it do to approach the shop - all they can do is say no - go for it don't be shy.

      Cheers.

I love that programme...I also love the Hotel Inspector because it's really interesting how many tips you can pick up from totally unrelated subjects.

I don't know the show you speak of, but I definitely think you should approach the shop to see if they want to buy some of your jewellery, nothing ventured, nothing gained hey?

I saw it, it was great! The woman was awful though I think she was sizeist

Great idea she didn't seem to have any accessories selling her shop, go for it!

Love this programme . You should definitely get yourself in there. Remember your key pieces and on trend fashion colours and bigger pieces for the more curvy lady.

Let us know how you get on.

I've just finished watching it. What a silly little woman that shop owner is. I wanted Mary to give her a real telling off but she didn't. Wonder what's on this week.

                  How do I approach it?
Ask that she buys them off me for the price Im after then she sells them for whatever she can get?

                    mary queen of shops

Hi, apparently this weeks episode is an appalling man & his long-suffering girlfriend. She is quite savvy but he won't do anything other than his way.
He wants to have a boutique catering for teenagers & 80 year olds - as if any teenager will look at a shop which serves the older generation!!

Mary carts him off to the world's most successful boutique (in Paris) & he reckons its rubbish!! What a wally!!!

Sounds a great show - will definately be watching

                    Cheers

It was on last night and I kept on having to turn over because they guy running the shop was an idiot!....To be fair his other half didn't really have a clue either but at least she listened to people who knew what they were on about.

yes, I saw last night's from Cardiff and loved it. Mary was really patient with the man... he was very trying! At least he let his girlfriend lead the way in the end though!
Mary wears some great jewellery- my eyes were glued to her lovely, chunky necklaces!!
