OK, im going to sound really dumb now!

I've just received an order, and the payment has been completed.

On the "My Account Overview" in PayPal, it says Balance £9.90.
How do i get that money into my own personal account, or will it go in automatically?!

This is the first time i have received money through PayPal, and im confused!

    Please help

    Hi Sprinkles,

You need to transfer the money to your account click on the withdraw tab in My Account and you will see it says transfer to account just follow the details on screen. Word of warning though if you are transferring less than £50 to your bank account you will get charged. All transfers above £50 are free.

    HTH.

You'll have to do some sums. If you take the money and transfer it to your own account now, then it will cost you. Only amounts over £50.00 can be transfered to your own account for free.
On the top bar, there is an option to withdraw money. The option will give you boxes to fill in to direct it to your account. it then takes between 5 and 7 days to get there.
i tend to leave some money in paypal all the time for making purchases.

        Thank you

I guess thats the penalty you get for using something like this.
Ill leave the money in there i think, untill it gets over the £50 mark.

Thank you both for the warning and help.

I can go send the post now

Yep, I agree. I always wait until I've got £50 or more before I transfer. I always aim to leave a bit in for shopping but by the time I've made £50 we're usually desperate for every penny!

I save my money up also, and its nice when I transfer it. You can always pay for some things using Paypal, I think Boots take it, I buy my art materials using Paypal.

Dont worry sprinkles, I felt liek a right numpty when I was trying to work out paypal, Im still not too sure but no ones come to the door demanding thousands form me yet.

Sometimes I wonder if its better to leave the money in the paypal account rather than my business account.I havnt got round to working out whech account gives better interest.
                Does paypal give interest??

I prefer to call it pay enemy because it's useless, but hey! I do what some of the others have said and use it to buy things on ebay or other sites instead of withdrawing the money.

Yea, i have had a little think this morning, while typing my heart out.

The money i get from Internet sales im going to leave in the PayPal account, and use it to buy more stock.

Then with craft fairs, and cash/cheque in hand orders i will use that money as my own spending money, and work it out that way.

                        Complicated for my little brain

I think the minimum you can transfer into your bank account from paypal is £6 and as others have said you get charged 25p if its under £50 you put into your account, which i guess isnt breaking the bank but stillits probably best to wait until you have £50 or over.
                          I hope that helps .

When I first started selling on the internet it took me a while to get my head around using Paypal, that was a few years ago now and I have to admit I have never had any problems with them and I have had thousands go through it just this year. I don't leave loads of money in there just £100 float incase of refunds or I want to buy some stash! and move everything else to my business account as there is always money going out of there!! Bills grrr

I am the same as Anice I keep about £100 or there abouts in the account and transfer the rest to the bank account. I leave the cash in Paypal for stock or other tempting goodies.

                              Cheers.
