  • Insurance cover for the US & Canada

    Hi,
I have insurance through the Guild of Jewellery Designers but it doesn't cover the US & Canada. I'm now planning on branching out and selling to North America. I'm waiting for a quote for an 'add-on' but just wondering if anyone else is covered for the US & Canada and who do you use?
    Thanks!

Hi Vikki , I'm almost sure Ian Wallace covers it.

I am covered through A-N and not a problem selling to the US or Canada. your T & C's have to state sold under English law

With A-N too best value insurance cover around as long as you qualify as an artist.

Thank you so much! The cover offered through A-N covers me for everything and like you said is a very reasonable price. Thanks!!

Just reviving this thread as I'm in the same boat, I'm looking for insurance to cover me for the US, does A. N. still do this? I've emailed to ask but have had no reply yet, although it was only a couple of hours ago! Quite a few places either won't insure, or attach clauses, ie. less than 20%. They said one way around this would be to advertise/sell more in the UK, but that's not guaranteed.

I am with A-N. and emailed the main insurers for me Hencilla Canworth and providing your t & c's state under English law I was covered. This means that any case against me would have to be fought in the English court system.

Hi Caroline, thank you for the reply and the clarification, I've since had a reply from HC stating that as long as the business is registered in the UK it's not site specific and covers activities worldwide.
