  • re:buying craft goods wholesale

Anyone in the midlands want wholesale 'cheap' materials there is a warehouse called Country Baskets i go to, it is based in Gibb's Road, Lye they used to be solely flower arranging and gifts now they do card toppers and all sorts. To join you need a letter head.
There is no minimum spend, great for the crafter, they also sell wrap, ribbon, gift boxes.
They even had hats last time i was there!

We have a country baskets in Glasgow too and it really is excellent. Only thing is children under 16 aren't allowed in due to fork lifts and things being about. It is great for cello bags and wrappings too - they have tones of Christmas stuff in at the mo.

    Cheers.

I saw this site on someone's blog earlier this week and thought ooooh but I was so disappointed that they don't allow children in. All of the other warehouse type places that have forklifts allow children in so I'm boycotting it on that basis

Do you know if they sell fimo/polymer clay?

I get mine from online as hobbycraft is far too expensive, but would be great to go along and see if there is a good choice of colours!!

I went to the Country Baskets in Glasgow a few months ago and pretty much did the whole shop but didn't see any polymer clay. I am about 90% sure they don't have it, but as I am quite forgetful and not very observant, it may be worth checking yourself

It's at East Ardsley, and is the original one. I have a shed full of silk flowers from there, it's also essential visiting for christmas deccies! Junc41 off the M1 - turn left if coming from the south, right if coming from Leeds, and it's a couple of miles up on the right.

So where is the one round here? One of my friends was talking about it when we 'did lunch' (hahahah!) earlier in the week, and I just nodded as if I knew what she was talking about!!
