    Who is buying

I think some of us have questioned is handmade still selling and know that in certain sections of society it is doing well. Got sent this blog link, very interesting read and so true, which makes my decision to go to a larger event a better one.

Many craftspeople are convinced there is no money out there, but it still exists and here is how to cash in on that rich pocket

I definitely recognise some of those buying patterns! The holiday homes and the wanting to give the kids the memories! It's really interesting to read some of the insights into the higher-end buyers.

Some excellent advice on there and I'll be returning. Love the interviews with makers too.

      Thanks for passing this on.

You are welcome, not even sure how I got it think via Linkedin but thought so true and maybe Ms Allsopp has played a part in this getting craft to those that do not do, but would buy and are passionate about supporting buy British.

So very true, not everyone is poor or hardup. If we were then we would never pull out of any recession. Different classes of people, yes there are plenty of different classes, all have their own situation that can be generalised. This article definitely talks of the top of the market. There are also those who are trying to either keep up or follow the Jonese.

In difficult times you still have to keep pushing your products, but never think no one can afford the expensive items. There are plenty of couples who earn £40,000 to £60,000, which allows plenty of disposible income. They might economise by cutting out a holiday, but then spend money on things for the home.

Everyone wants their form of individuality to set them apart from the rest, buying craft items is an easy way to have something that is not mass produced and in every shop.

          Brilliant blog find.
