  • Whats the Norm

Don't worry i'm not after any trade secrets or anything of the sort, i'm just curious as to how many wholesalers a craft business normally has. Is it best to use just one or do you use a few so you get the variety? I seem to be clocking them up at the moment and don't know if this is the norm.

Looking at my 'favourites' under bead suppliers, I've got 18 listed! That doesn't include gems and precious metal suppliers! Get a large base and you can find almost anything anyone will ask for.

I have 25! I have no idea how 'normal' that is! But then I like variety.
If one supplier can provide many things so much the better, you are much more likely to save on postage and be able to meet minimum orders.

Wow you two have so many, now i don't feel 'normal'. I'm registered with 9, 4 of those i don't use as when my account was approved and i logged on to there website there wholesale prices were only a few pence short of there retail prices, i've now learnt to stay away from those who sell retail as well as wholesale. I have 4 i use and just got approved for another (good one) today, and i'm in the middle of applying for another who stock the cricut machine, theres only two in this country would you believe and i don't meet the criteria for one of them.

Anyway the point of this post is, i don't feel half as bad now instead i feel like i'm missing out, god i go from one extreem to another.
