What to call myself

Wanted to name myself DebsJeans Jewelry however there seems to be a Debs Jeans. Think that it could be dangerous ground. So what should I name myself.

why not make it debs gems, slightly different but almost the same.

This really depends on what image you want to portray to your customers. I had the same problem finding my name. Write down a list of words related to your products and then "play" around with them. Thats what i did to come up with my name.

My children's middle names are river and fern.

I liked Fern River as it has a nice rustic homey feel to it. I also thought Debs Jewels, similar to Caroleecraft's suggestion.

One thing to think about is the spelling of Jewellery, if you decide to use that word. Jewelry is the American spelling, and I know you're American, but if you're planning to do most of your selling in the UK, it might be worth using the British spelling.

Plus, if anyone out there is trading with a similar name, you have reasonable ground to stand on (since it is your actual own name!)

Apparently Fern River is a resort in California and Riverfern is a UK breeder of Abyssinian cats.

I'd stick with using your own name in one form or another.

Is Debbie Jeans your name? I just think of jeans as in the trousers and wouldn't associate it with jewellery.
