  • Public Liability Insurance - one day only?

Is it possible to get public liability insurance for one day to cover a craft fair? I can't afford to buy a year's worth and have yet to book any fairs, but trying to get in at a last minute one and I need insurance to be allowed to exhibit!

I very much doubt whether you can get 1 days cover. There's not that many policies around that cover craft workers and I would imagine that an insurance company wouldn't think it worth the paperwork since a years cover is approx £50,

I'd suggest emailing www.craftinsurance.co.uk and ask them to see what they think.

The thing about your insurance is the Public Liability part as well. So for example, if someone bought an item from you and it injured them in some way at a later date they may want to sue you. So you need the insurance to be ongoing . You should be able to get a deal where you pay monthly so shop around

I never thought of it that way, I had always imagined it was in case someone fell over my table or I spilt my tea on someone for example!
