  • Page 1 on google!!!

I can't believe it, my website is on page one of google! When doing a search for vintage inspired accessories (i think it helps now I have the domain name!) it came up half way down the first page-hooray! And it's also my second year anniversary this december of making and selling jewellery so i'm well chuffed!

Congratulations on both your anniversary and Google listing! Half the battle is getting your site recognised by the search engines and this can take some time!

I hope you notice the difference in your visitors and sales...

well it will because that's your domain name, if i type in rocksforfrocks, I come up first too, but if i type in vintage jewellery or vintage accessories then I dont see you. Which is the same as if i type in handmade tiaras I think im about page 17!

Thats the bit we all have to work on, unfortunately I dont have a clue about SEO and cant afford to pay someone either!

Also make sure you sign up for Googles Web Master Tools and submit a site map (there are sites which will make your site map for you).

As said before get plenty of backing links and make sure you use you keywords not only in your text but in your metta tags (useful for Search engines other than google), your image alt tags etc.

Yes, it is my domain name but it is also my product too, which is why i chose that particular one. The thing about vintage jewellery/accessories is that i'm not actually strictly vintage so it would be misleading the potential customers. I'm classed as vintage inspired or vintage styled, if you get what I mean!
