The pretty good but I have one major reccomendation which is to make sure the photo are on a white background..

Use a tripod ... if you haven't got one its worth its wait in gold... you can get a cheap one for about £10-15...

Photograph them all at the same time so the light is the same...
(some are darker and some are lighter)

Sorry I'm not trying to dis your site....

One other thing is you have 2 home pages that are identical...
If you want to be listed in search engine like google etc... 2 identical page at 2 different web addresses (URL's) gives you a penalty!!!!

    The urls are : http://www.beckyscards.co.uk/ & http://www.beckyscards.co.uk/beckyscards/index.html

I like your cards... keep up the good work!

    5/10 for the site!!

    Thanks..

        Much better....

        The cards are looking good....

        I have only 2 suggestions...

1, get rid of the Duplicate pages, that the 2 url's for your home as this will hurt you a lot for search engines...

2, one or two of the cards need to be stright on the page...

        Then it will be perfect...

        Just my opinoin!!!

        Good luck!

          Hi Dolphingirl,

          Nice clean site, well done

The only comment I have is the greeting card section took a while to complete downloading, but there again, I'm on dialup. Can't get broadband in the village Only just moved up from pigeon post

There is a way to reduce your processing time if you want, use thumbnails on the main 'greetings' page with a hyperlink from the thumbnail to a new window with the full piccy :?:

Only a suggestion though, I do admit there are more BB people than dialup now

          Regards

            I agree completely....

Thumbnails could really help people on slower connections...

Takes a bit of work but I think it would be worth it....

Its always a hard one to get to grips with, do you cater for the dialup and reduce the size/quality of the site or go for all bells & whistles type of site that caters for BB users

IMHO its a good middle ground, I know on my site, once I put thumbs on the product index the completion time dropped dramatically, but I do admit there are some that hate secondary windows popping up all over the place. Damned if you do damned if you don't :?:

I think I have a java routine somewhere on my hard drive that changes an already visible picture to one selected by a click on the same page, that sounds as clear as mud :?

If you don't know what I mean, let me know and I'll try and explain a tad better

If you want the routine just let me know

              regards
