  • New Market Starting Today!

Our new outdoor Gorleston Sunday Market starts today - it's been ages in the planning, but today's the day! Was up at 5am as we have to get there early so we're ready for our stallholders who will arrive at 9am. It's raining a bit but the forecast says it will stop by 9am - fingers crossed.

    Wish us luck!

Good luck Claire and I hope the weather is better there than it is here. Looking forward to hearing all about it if you're not too exhausted when you get home.

Thanks all. Well, the weather didn't behave very well, it was raining or drizzling right up until 11am. Several stallholders didn't show, can't say I blame them considering. But we did have a few stay, 3 classic cars showed up for the display too. And despite the weather, we had droves of customers, the footfall through the gate was continuous! We're lucky that the site is in a prime location on the seafront, which is why we were so keen to use it! So those of us that were able to brave it out all did really well. And we had requests from 8 visitors for forms to have a stall next week, so that's not bad.

We now believe that it will be a success and will grow from week to week.

Congratulations to all of you who worked so hard to make your first event a success - and boo hiss to those stallholders who didn't bother to turn up.

Fingers crossed that you go from strength to strength. Having put in so much effort in the conception, planning and organisation you deserve to be successful.

Thanks ladies. I can't blame the stallholders who didn't show up, it is an outdoor venue and they obviously didn't want their stuff ruined. Luckily those of us who stayed did bring gazebos, so managed to stay dry.
