  • Does anyone know of any craft fairs coming up with space for jewellery in lancashire?

Hi! Ive just joined the forum, but I have been looking at all the messages people have been leaving for a few weeks! Me and a friend make handmade jewellery. Were just starting out and having great fun making it and coming up with new ideas. We want to try and sell a bit of it, as it is obviously quite an expensive hobby(!). However, although I have been looking for craft fairs for a good few weeks now, I dont feel that Im getting anywhere! Ive only been able to find one person who has said that they have no vacancies for jewellery making! So basically, what im trying to say without all this waffle ive just wrote, is does anyone know of any craft fairs that would let me sell my jewellery please? I live in Ormskirk, (west lancs.) but i dont mind travelling a bit! Thank you for your help ppl!

Sorry LL, if you've already checked out the various info on fairs in our threads here, I dont have any other info specifically on jewellery stall vacancies

I'm just starting out booking onto fairs this year myself so I just searched t'internet for sites that provide info on fair organisers then got in touch with some of them & got their lists through the post - thats really as much as I know but I've tried to post what I have discovered onto some of our threads

But we do have quite a few fairs organisers posting here so they may have more helpful info for you

    Best of luck

        and hello!

There are two craft fair organisers based in Lancashire who have recently submitted threads - they are Jangle and Foolish Friends. I'm close to Blackburn and have a fair on Saturday (23 Feb) with Foolish Friends and have booked for 3 later in the year with Jangle. If you want their direct links, go onto my website (link below in my signature) and go onto Events page - they are both on there.

        Good luck!

I've actually only done 2 Craft Fairs before

The first one I did was in October last year and I booked it around April / May time. The second was early December and I booked that about 6 weeks before.

I think it depends on the organiser. Some of the larger ones will be booked up straight away by returning stall holders but I think the smaller ones are easier to get into.

You just need to keep going - it took me quite a while to get the two I did last year, but this year I've found Jangle and Foolish Friends almost by accident! It is half term at the moment (last week and this week depending on where you are) so the organisers may either be away or entertaining kids so you might not get an immediate response.

              Good luck though!

do you sell everything of your website then? All the organisers have been very good getting back to me and everything, they just say no! Im thinking that I probably need to go and charm some people in real life dont I? lol.

I do sell from my website, yes. But also through friends and family - mainly through work (sold 7 today to one person!) Also started having a little display at my children's nursery at which I sold 11 Valentine cards in a week!

Ask the fair organisers if you can be added to a reserve list if anyone drops out, or for future events.

There are a lot of threads on this forum about other outlets for selling your jewellery - its a case of taking the plunge and going for it!

Do you have a website yourself? Its the easiest way to showcase your work - and you can submit items onto craft juice thus increasing exposure!
