  • Tables for craft fairs?

Has anyone got their own table they take to craft fairs / events? All I have a is a wallpaper pasting table but not sure that it will be sturdy enough. I am doing 2 event this summer where I need to bring my own table and I have not clue where I can get one and how much it will cost. Can anyone help???

For those of you doing Wroughton - what are you bringing in terms of a table?

      Hi Kate,

I think most events do their own tables but you do get asked to take your own table sometimes. Pasting table is a bit dodgy. Homebase do a fairly sturdy foldaway table. I know it is sturdy because my friend is a glass painter and when she has to take her own table she uses it. I think it was only about £20.

      Cheers.

I bought a plastic wallpapering table in Focus (are they national?)

It cost £26 and it has 6 legs - 2 in the middle for stability - is white and folds down to the same size as a wallpaper table.

Yep sounds like the same one I have - I think it'd be sturdy enough for mosiacs no problem. Wouldn't go with a normal pasting table....seen some bowing quite badly at craft fairs in the past.

We've just bought two tables for this summer's fairs, the ones we had last year were far too wimpy and light. I had been eying these fab tables on ebay but they were £59 plus carriage - I'm sure you've seen the type, heavy white moulded plastic tops & nice sturdy legs. I was this close to biting the bullet and going for them, when I found the same tables, seconds, but for only £19.99 and £5 postage. They are FAB. Nothing's gonna knock these babies over!! They have a couple of dents in the edge at the corner, hence the seconds, but once the covers are on they won't be seen and they are lovely & sturdy. I am so chuffed, sad really. The seller is called clearancecatering. Lovely people to deal with too.

Just had a look on ebay - they haven't got any listed at the moment, but if you sent them a message I'm sure they'd let you know if they were getting any more. The shop addy is http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Nisbets-Stock-Clearance They also have a standard shop website, www.nisbets.co.uk. They have some tables on there but not the seconds ones we got.

I bought the table I used at Cheddar off Ebay - it was a seconds and about £40 - I think it was under banqueting table.

It's really good and sturdy but it is quite heavy - I think if I was on my own at a fair I would have problems in pulling out the legs and then turning it over the right way.

If I was buying one again I would make sure I could set it up on my own - so make sure you buy one from a place you can set it up in the shop!!

Glad to hear you did OK at Grittleton.

I will send you those details we talked about on Saturday as soon as I can find out all the details.

I have now cancelled the event I was doing on the 4th August and am doing Wroughton on both days - not camping tho - need to get someone to babysit the woofers still - don't think they are good enough to sit for 2 days without barking at the hoards of people that will be looking at all the craft stalls!!

                              see ya
