  • Alternative Bring and Buy Sale - Sun 6th Dec, London

    This is a great event - I love it! I sell stuff, buy stuff, and meet loads of interesting people.

    Why not give it a try? It's only 50p, and I'll be there - come & say hello!

    ================================================== ===
    The Alternative Bring and Buy Sale started in a small room above The Blue posts; a few events later, and we now find ourselves in the spacious venue of The Dome, in Tufnell Park.

    Our sales mainly consist of people selling off their old stuff; be it clothes, music, knick-knacks and other eclectica. We are also getting the odd professional seller - people selling their artwork and handmade jewellery, amongst other things.

    Our stalls are extremely good value, with prices starting at £6. There is a small entry fee of 50p on the day, to help us with our running costs (we don't make much money from these events, they are a labour of love!)
    All stuff sold falls into the 'alternative' category; be it goth, punk, fetish, cyber or just plain weird.

    We want to create something akin to the Electric Ballroom market in its glory days - help us make it so!

    For a mere entry fee of 50p, you can come on down and browse stalls selling all things goth, punk, fetish, whatever...from clothes (both second hand and new), jewellery, crafts, music and much more!

    Or, maybe you fancy making a bit of cash after spending all your money on festivals? If so, our stall prices are as follows:
    * table £6
    * rail space (BYO rail) £6
    * table + rail space (again, BYO rail) £8.50
    * large table (only one of two left) £11

    Any enquiries to:
    [email protected]

    Date: 06 August 2009
    Time: 11:00 - 17:00
    Location: The Dome (upstairs at The Music Box)
    Street:178 Junction Road, Tufnell Park

    Alternative Bring and Buy Sale - March event

    I went to this one, and had fun, and to the next one that was in March, too.

    Here's some photos of me & the stall at the event :

      What a great looking stall!

      How useful to have that space behind for you to display your larger items - I love it when you get little added bonuses like that for your display!

      Love your banner/cloths too - really nice.

        Thank you! That's about my limit for carrying stuff - I simply can't manage any more than that...

        It's a great space to have for a stall, with that shelf at the top. Lets me display so much more than I would usually be able to. I ask for that particular spot every time, now!

        Thanks for the kind words about the banners, too - they were made by my pal Autumn at Merry Meet, machine-embroidered on velvet. She did a really nice job, just from the image files of my logo!
