  • Charity event Gloucester May 2010

    I am organising a charity it's a knockout event for the large company I work for in Gloucester (just off the M5), for Sunday 23rd May 2010. As part of that I would like stall holders to sell crafts on the day. There will be various attractions such as bouncy castles, food, and sports tournaments throughout the day. All proceeds go to our charity of the year. This year it is the MS society but we don't choose the charity until later on in the year so I can't say yet who it will be next May, but it is always a worthy cause. We would ask £20 per stall.

          It would be best for me if it would be possible to be outside and on tarmac, since we are limited on grassed space, so marquees/gazebos wouldn't be easily achieved. However, if it rains we have space inside to move into. If people have strong preferences for being in a tented stall we would do what we can to accommodate this - our only limiting factors is really maximising the money raised for the charity so I would have to work it out depending on requirements.

          I assume you are preferring indoors?

            I should add - some of our outdoor paved areas are under cover as they are between buildings. We have had several farmers markets that work well in that area - these are often open stalls/tables.

              I would prefer to be indoors. Mainly because I have done outdoor events and if the weather is not on your side then it is difficult to display your items. I make bespoke and handcrafted jewellery and setting the display off to show off the jewellery is not always viable. If there is indoor space available then I would definately be interested.

                    hi - i'd love to participate

                    i'd be happy with indoor if possible - i'm about to buy a gazebo - don't know really if they're possible to put up on hard standing - so happy to be outside if that's the case - I find outdoor quite successful if covered.

                              I have reserved you all spaces, with the last 2 posts both having indoor space. I am waiting for one of our facilities guys to come back from holiday so I can get the booking forms sorted, and then will send them all out to you. So don't worry if you don't receive one for a week or two, they are on their way.
