  • Craft stall size

    Hi
I'm doing my first craft fair this weekend and wanted to do a trial of my layout on my paste table and wondered if anyone knew approx the size of the tables ? I know it's a 6ft table but not sure what width they usually are ? Is it the normal size of a paste table or a little wider ?

Tables do tend to vary in size.

that is now we have our own - it just makes life easier for us and our display.

The tables supplied are usually 6 x 2.6ft (ish)

Yes, I think Jane is right. Most standard tressle tables are 6ft x 2ft.

I would find it difficult to have my own table due to not enough room in the car! If you did get your own table, make sure it can be flat packed and is not too heavy.

          Standard Trestles....

          ....are usually 6ft by 2ft6".

However, we've been surprised at some venues! The clerk will cheerily tell you that tables are supplied by the hall, and yes, they are standard size. And we've turned up at daft o'clock in the morning to discover that the tables are anywhere between 6ft and 10ft long! Because, to that particular venue that's their standard size.

I love the extra space, but it does throw some people who have carefully planned a table layout around a 6ft table. So we advise having a spare cloth to match your usual one, and then placing your display, if you can, in the centre so you'd have a foot spare at either end.

The tables at Tidworth this summer will be one metre square, and each space has two provided, so I'm thinking my usual cloth won't be wide enough and I'll need the spare to cover the back.

Yes standard size 6' x 2.5' is normal. I am more than happy if I find I have more space to spread out, but not when I have been told that tables provided are 6 foot and then find they are 5 foot - amazing what a difference that foot makes. I never have enough room anyway, so to have it reduced is a pain. Hope all goes well with the fair.
