  • Demonstrating at Events

    Hi Everybody,

I am organising the events in Nottingham City Centre this year and have been thinking lately about using our market marquee to have people demostrating their crafts.

Just thought I would see what you all thought about this idea, have you done it at other shows? Has anybody demonstrated in a city centre location before?
    Is it a popular idea?

Thanks in advance for any thoughts you may have.

    David.

Hi I dont do demonstrations as such but I sit next to my stall and make things in between selling and people often stop to watch and I make bespoke pieces while the customer waits.

Yup - I demo the pyrography wherever I have the space and electricity to do it...
      Cheers,

        Thanks for your replies,

Like I said on the original post I am thinking about putting up our marquee at the end of a run of our craft cabins.

This would give the market more interest hopefully.

As it happens I've just being asking fellow members about this very same thing. Hope this helps: http://www.craftsforum.co.uk/showthread.php?t=25371
