HI,
well despite being told last year it was heaving, this year it was very quiet!
Still I came back with £30 more than the table fee cost me, so more than i would have had sat at home!
A teacher bought one of my masterpiece hangers for her classroom which sparked off more ideas! she was very complimentary too and said she's tell the other teachers and took a flyer so fingers crossed!
Hi Samigail,
Just seen you post and realised that I was right next to you with my handmade jewellery. I must say that your products are great and was quite envious with your presentation it was excellent.
Like you this was my first all day craft fair, and the first thing I noticed when I drove in, was that I could not see any advertising at all. I drove through a main high street, and did not see anything. So was a little worried to start off with.
However, I met some lovely fellow crafties, you are all soo friendly and forthcoming with useful information and advice.
I think I did ever so well considering how quite it was, I made about £70, and the stall cost me £20. When someone compliments you on your product, and then buys it, is the best feeling. I haven't stopped smiling yet, I'm so happy.
I'm looking out for events in 2009 now, just wish this was my full time job.
I think the other personalised gift seller (I think she painted her items then wrote on them) was the one next to you - I was next to tish tash toys with a rather unimpressive display method compared to the lady next to you! lol
I agree - It was very poorly advertised - ie nothing at all it seems.
There seemed controversy as to whether there was one last year at all. i was told by the organiser it was heaving last year, but someone else told me one of the staff members said it wasn't on last year due to refurbishment!
What time did you pack up and go, I went round the stalls late on but most had gone by time i had the opportunity so i never got to see your jewellry or stop for a chat.
I haven't any booked for 2009 yet, must find some!
Hi Fiona,
I'm sorry too that I didn't get to see you. I started packing at around 4pm, and left before 5 (so I could get back for Strictly Come Dancing).
If I find anything else local to you for 2009, I will let you know, hopefully we will meet next year.
I was meant to do it this year, and was promised radio advertising and everything, but I didn't hear anything, and i'm only in Wolverhampton! I have a few emails of correspondence from Daryl Cox, but I didn't have the money in the end. It all sounded promising, and I almost took a day off work for it too . . .
