  • Just back from a fair!

Hi All, just got back from a Christmas Craft and Food Fair. Am so thrilled, I had a fabulous day! The table was a tenner and I took £170!!!!! The card lady next to me also had a really good day, she said her takings were about £20 up on last year. Other people I know didn't do so well, floral arrangements and the pottery lady didn't have a lot of sales. The food stall which was in the other hall had only 2 jars of mincemeat left - and that was before lunch!! For me I think the smaller fairs are better but I know everyone is different. I would definitely do this one again. Off out for a curry tonight to celebrate!!!! Selina

Well done, glad you had a good day.
My day was less successful as I made a loss of £4!

                  Well Done Selina!

I'm just back as well and also had a great day, so much so I'm going to have to sit down and make some more stuff after dinner, for tomorrow

I'm tired, my feet hurt and I'm hungry but when I counted my takings I couldn't believe it woohoo

Hope everyone else has had a good day too.

Good luck for tomorrow, if anyone else is doing a fayre

Thanks guys, you are all so kind, I really am chuffed to bits. Sorry you had such a naff day Gail, hopefully things will get better. Well done Krafty1, I have a party in 2 weeks as well so I need to get busy too. It was at the United Reform Church Carol so only 5 mins from my house, better still no petrol outlay! Selina

Wow - well done and please pass on some of that good luck to the rest of us. I have a Christmas Bazaar next weekend in a nearby village and would be lovely to take lots, but I will settle for a little!!

Well Done! I did my first craft fair today in a local village. When I got there I was next to another jeweller selling virtually the same items! Apparently she had put crafts on her booking form so they didn't realise. The show was also so slow with a limited amount of customers. In the end thanks especially to one customer I took enough to make it worthwhile for me but the other lady only sold one pair of earrings just making the table fee. The other crafters were a nice group of people and we kept each other spirits up but it would have been nice to have more customers!

Good Luck to everyone doing a fair tomorrow!
