  • Anyone doing fairs this weekend

Evening all. Anyone doing any craft fairs this weekend and where ???
I've got one in Battle & it's the first one since the disaster earlier on in the year where I took less than £5.00 & the table cost £40. I'm hoping now it's closer to Christmas I might actually sell something. I make cards, wax melts and small gifts. Has anyone done any fairs recently & how did you do. Good luck to everyone who may be busy this weekend.

I did a craft fair last Saturday. I sold mainly my handmade Christmas Cards, but some of my Jewellery Sets sold too. The stall cost me £5. I was there for 3 hours and I made a profit of £27. Not a great deal, but I'm not cpmplaining. With the way the economy is at the moment, people are just not spending like they did.

      Profit is profit though.

Good luck with yours. Hope it goes well for you.

I did one on Saturday locally, which was not as good as last year, I took about a third of what I took last year. Everyone seemed to say the same, but I think some of that was down to a very cold day with a bitter wind and the fact that the local rugby team was featured on television in the afternoon!!!! It was fun, but not very profitable.

I'm at one in Lancaster on Saturday. It's a long way off but am hoping it'll be ok - table price was a bit cheaper than round here and it's on a Saturday so should be a bit more footfall (she says, with everything crossed )

Wiltshire Christmas Show at Oasis Swindon Wilts on Sat and Sun.

I'm looking forwards to this - it should be big and fun!

Hopefully advertising, and number of visitors, will be up to the mark as many shows this year have been let down by lack of this basic requirement.
                  Best wishes

I have a jewellery sale for the first time at the Art Centre in Ilminster on Saturday. I have booked for the 6th Dec as well. Then I have my regular farmers market on Sunday 9th and 14th Dec.
I have to get a few more bits made though, to try and tap into the 'xmas gift list'.

I've got a local one on Sunday, it's one I do about 4 times a year, the table is only £10 and it's usually quite busy. Don't make a fortune on it but always make a nice wee profit and it's virtually no travelling involved, always a lovely bunch of people so it's a nice day out

Then got another 6 (I think) next month and a couple beginning of December then that's it.
