It's Oyster Fayre time!

This is a lovely fayre, held in the grounds of Colchester Castle, with all sorts of things to do and see... and eat & drink! There's swordfighting and falconry and music and song, plus lots and lots of medieval tents selling all manner of lovely handcrafted goods, for a very low entry fee.
I have a little stall there too, with the pyro pieces - do come and say Hi, and you can leave your gear with me if there's space under the stall!

Colchester's Medieval Oyster Fayre.
================================================== ===========
Wander through the tented avenues of over 50 medieval merchants' stalls, trading everything from a handmade brass pin to a full suit of armour.
Enjoy encampment and arena activities including displays of armed combat, archery, falconry, cannon drill and living history.
Also entertainment by Mummers, dance groups, wandering musicians, traditional street players, puppet masters and storytellers.
Plus lots of traditional food and a fine beer tent as well.

Just wanted to draw your attention to yesterday's Sunday Times.
They listed the top 50 places to visit in the UK this Summer.
They are in no specific order but the Oyster Fayre is there at number 26. Check that out.
