Hi,
The best way to secure your online payments is to get a SSL Certificate - I would recommend everyone that holds customer details or recieves online payments on their website to have one.
I dont know the ins and out of them but if you were to make a payment on my website the web address changes from http:// to https:// and a padlock appears in the browser to say it is secure (you will see it on the paypal login page for an example of what I mean).
Many people now wont consider buying from site without one. Prices can vary hugely. I would check with your host first to see whether they provide SSL. I have seen them as cheap as £25 per year but the maxium range could be hundreds.
I hope that helps

Secure Payment
I found the best way is to use PayPal. I am just updating my website and adding a shopping cart and opened a PayPal Business account. it is straight forward and works the same as having a merchant account. i also have a card machine in my office.Last edited by Beautifullife; 23-05-2008, 10:30 PM.
