There used to be a tiny art shop on the shambles, don't know if it's still there.

there is a lovely shop called the Viking Loom. I don't know the name of the street sorry. I just know how to walk there

I do know that they have a website though so if you give it a google before you go you will find it.

Pyramid Gallery on the Shambles is Fab - slightly more arty but lovely stuff - they sometimes exhibit my sister's prints (Judith Pollock)

Round the back of the Minster near St. Williams there are some good bead/jewellery shops and Gillygate has some wonderful craft places.
Love York - home town - went to school there ages ago!
