  • Free publicity with the Great British Craft Tour

I was interviewed yesterday as part of the great British Craft Tour and an article will be published soon on the site. The organisers have just set off on a real tour of the UK to find the best UK Crafters and you can ask for them to visit you. I have to say i was gobsmacked when they rang because I initally thought the visit would be just to my website - Ok I'm thick lol
To request a visit you need to go to the site which is

that was great & the beaded things you make are fab, as you say the publicity will be good too. this doesn't sound like I'm meaning it to sound, hope this makes some sort of sense.

          british craft tour

thanks for the tip, just visited the website and registered, hope they don't drop in unannounced as my workshop is currently a bit of a pigsty lol.

Anyone got any tips for a good fair in the swindon area, been off the craft fair scene for a while and looking for some good ones.

          Happy crafting

We're hoping to get a visit from them too but not sure when. How much notice did they give you Chris?

I just checked out the Craft Tour Site and there was a link to the craft fairs held at the Corn hall in the Market Place in Cirencester which are held twice every month.

Not sure whether you have transport but I know its one of the last places the National Express bus stops at before I get to Swindon when I visit my brother that lives there.

                  The Great British Craft Tour

I had a visit Monday night - they emailed me last week to let me know they were coming. Although they were running behind schedule, they kept me up to date with progress.

They were a very nice couple and interested in what I did.

My interview is now online to read.

Like Chris, I didn't think I had a hope in .... that they would visit me. Especially as I am in the NE of Scotland. I was absolutely thrilled they could visit me.

I hope those who have registered are as lucky - it is afterall free publicity.
                  Take care

I just clicked on that link u gave kiamyka. is it a current one? because it went to a page about a 2011 event. I'm not sure if i was misdirected somehow Never actually heard of that but i do know a few crafters who would be interested as well as me.

You need to get used to looking at the dates at the top of threads. This one was started in 2008.

It is likely that the OP is no longer doing the event.

                        Better luck next time
