I've never worked with polymer clay so I have no idea if it would even stick to ceramic. Personally I'd use polyfilla to fill the missing areas and once dry, paint over those parts with acrylic paints.

I have a medium buddha statue that fell and pieces were broken off. We tried to glue back together, but not all of the pieces were found. I was thinking to fill in the gaps with polymer clay and bake it, but wasn't sure if this would ruin the Buddha as it has high sentimental value. Any ideas?
