View Full Version : I'm looking for unusual reasonably priced beads

24-09-2007, 12:18 PM
Hi All,

Haven't been onto the forum in ages. I am now concentrating on my jewellery making (charm bracelets mainly) as opposed to cardmaking and just wondered if anybody knows where i can get unusual beads, lampwork, vintage, charms etc but at reasonable prices. Also need tiger/animal print beads etc.

I've done the ebay thing which is mainly where i sell.

Thanks All

www.pandahall.com (http://www.pandahall.com) or co.uk I can't remember, have some really mad stuff at reasonable prices although the site doesn't have the best layout. Worth it though, I've had some real finds on there ! Good luck!

Keep an eye on lampworkers every now and again one of us goes mad and puts together a load of mystery bags, thats a good way to get a load of mixed lampies.

There was a spate of mystery bags a while ago now so it may be a bit before we all do it again!!

Bit late here, but making fimo beads is simple fun and has an amazing effect.
People used to sell the canes on ebay but just had a look and they now seem scarce.
I make my own and some simple colours can make great beads.

When I say I make my own, I meant I have only just started and the link was actually a site I found yesterday that I have found useful.
I only posted a link after I noticed others posting links to certain websites.
I don't have a website, etsy page or anything like that.
Just make fimo thinkgs for fun, hence why I have no sig.

Just following on from that, I would wait till you've got to know a supplier before you recommend them - I've made the mistake of putting a link on for a company I'd just discovered...............it turned out they were crap! :D Always worth thinking twice about putting links on your posts, you become responsible for their reputation. :)

It's not a supplier, just a very informative tutorial about fimo canes.
I thought it useful it goes through it step by step and would suit beginners just as well as pro's.
Thought it would a a good option for the person asking aobut unusual beads.
I learn to create a face cane today.
Oh well, only trying to be helpful

Please don't take offence Sand - we were only trying to be helpful as well. :)

hi, I am not sure what price range is reasonable for you.
Normal beads equal normal price, Unique beads equal "unique" price. lol:D

I've just started stocking felt balls/beads on my own website, either plain or embellished with tiny little seed beads and in a great range of colours ! At the mo I only have 1.5cm size, but will soon be stocking 3cm and 5cm as well

Don't know if they're of any use to anyone?

Found a cheap site that sells beads in the quanties you want!!! It doesn't need you to buy in bulk to get the low prices! Website is

Don't think they are well known, but bought from them last Thursday, and got the beads Saturday morning. Plus free p&p for orders over 25!

Hi there are many unusual beads around I have many Indian beads with varying finishes including Silver foil and cotton beads, also by the end of the week I will have a large shipment in from my supplier in India, including Bollywoods, Crochet, Cotton as well as lampwork and weddingcake.

Its worth searching around on ebay and on other websites to find the unique beads required.

Best of luck in finding what you want
