View Full Version : Can you recommend something for sparkle?

I know there's probably loads of answers for this, but I want to add a bit of sparkle to some of my models and wondered if anyone had any suggestions?
something subtle and not too fiddly please, I considered just putting glitter into the varnish but because of the small scale of my figures the 'bits' might be too big. I don't always use varnish either. Is there a powder? Do I have to apply the sparkle before of after curing?

Any help greatly appreciated.

Perfect Pearls powders (http://www.ejrbeads.co.uk/shop/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=115) would be ideal

You brush them over unbaked clay, and because they have an in-built resin, they bond with the clay very well in the baking process. So you don't need to varnish over them.

If you do give a coat of varnish, obviously it will make the clay even more durable and make the colours of the powders really pop; but it isn't necessary.
