    PJ Minerals

OK, the facts, I put an order in to PJ Minerals online for 4 earstuds and 4 half drilled amethyst pearls. I got 4 earstuds and 4 half drilled pearls. One chipped, two cracked, and one a different colour to the rest. I have just spoken to them. The last thing the nice lady said was 'I can't argue with you, because I don't know what you've got'. After asking her why she answered the phone in the first place, I gave up. Oh, by the way, she said the pearls were genuine amethyst - they cost 60p for a 6mm..................? $80 in a real jewellers!

How bizarre is my first reaction but upon thinking,Im sure I ordered from PJ last year and i seem to remember getting less than I ordered, something like 2 lots for the price of one and i only got 1.So I had to contact them.

How was it left, are they replacing the faulty goods?

I think if you just send them back with cover note of what youd like to happen they will send you replacements.

Havent actually ordered from them myself so can't comment on quality or customer service, but am impressed with the website.

Did they offer an exchange or refund ?

I guess these things can happen, and if it does you do need excellent customer service to keep people coming back !

I often order from them, but I have to say their customer service is something to be desired.

My main motivation for ordering from them is the price!

The reason I only put in a small order was that I was suspicious about the price, they certainly didn't go along the lines of 'send it back and we'll sort it out'...................when the woman answering the phone ran out of things to say, she asked if I wanted to speak to the 'manager'. Personal opinion - this advertises itself as 'part of Whittaker's Textiles', I get the feeling it's a fast buck sideline run as a Mickey Mouse outfit. It's only cost me a fiver to find out, so I'll put it down to experience.

Mickey Mouse it may be but its no way to treat a customer.
If the beads are only 60p each what are they complaining about!!They shouldnt have sent out such inferior quality goods.

As the beads are unusable anyway I suggest you send the goods back with a cover note and see what happens.Cant hurt to try.

Also maybe write that the person you spoke to was very rude, they may send you some freebees.

I used to order a lot from them but not so much these days. I'm fed up with the 3-4 week delivery time unless you pay for next day delivery and now only order when need too. I don't understand the 3 -4 week delivery it's been like that for 18 months - 2 years now, why don't they bring in the extra staff that is obviously required.

I have to admit that anytime I need something sorted! it's done! and usually pretty sharpish.

Well, I made a couple of studs with the stuff I got, and sold 'em for £1.50 a pair. Episode over. Given Rashbels an order for some proper amethysts - we'll see what happens there, so far they have been in touch to say they hadn't any 6mm but would match 5mm to the studs I ordered, so customer service is scoring high.
